By Mandilee Hecht

Minor injuries were reported, with one driver being transported to the hospital, after a three-vehicle accident in James Township on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

According to Lieutenant Miguel Gomez from the Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department, a Chevy Impala, driven by a 41-year-old male from James Township, was headed southbound on S. River Road when he stopped at the stop sign at Swan Creek Road.

The Impala driver then attempted to cross Swan Creek Road when he was struck by a Chevy Tahoe, driven by a 36-year-old male from Fremont Township, who was traveling eastbound on Swan Creek Road.

The collision then forced the Impala to collide with a third vehicle, a Cadillac Escalade, that was traveling northbound on River Road and stopped at the stop sign.

The driver of the Escalade, a 42-yearold female from James Township, was transported by ambulance to Covenant hospital. Other minor injuries were reported.
